Luke 24 Reading Guide

Dig In:

Passage: Luke 24

Dig Deeper:

This 5 minute video concludes Luke's epic portrait of Jesus of Nazareth. The disciples discover the empty tomb and eventually have their entire view of the world turned upside-down as they meet the risen Jesus. Luke shows how Jesus' kingdom of God mission to its climactic moment, and he sets the stage for its continuation in Luke's second volume, Acts.

Old Testament Reference -

  • Psalm 2 serves a couple of roles. First, along with Psalm 1, it is a table of contents of sorts for the entire Psalter. Second, it's a beautiful poetic account of how the Messiah will come to rule the nations.
